Job information: 

We are looking for certificated educators to evaluate student performance on TOEFL® practice tests via the TestBest platform and provide them valuable feedback. 

Required Education:

• Bachelor’s or 4-year university degree
• Must be a certificated teacher or
• Hold MA in English, Language arts, Rhetoric, or other pertinent area.

Preference will be given to candidates who have:

• A career focus on education.
• Experience teaching/tutoring for the TOEFL® or other standardized tests.
• Experience with international students (Chinese students a plus). 
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• High degree of English proficiency
• Fluency in mobile applications and online education platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate written and spoken responses to TOEFL® practice exams according to the TestBest rubric.
• Submit evaluations on our TestBest evaluator portal by strict deadlines to ensure students receive timely feedback.
• Regularly communicate with TestBest regarding any questions or progress. 

Payment: We pay our Mentors per evaluation, so the amount you earn is dependent on the amount of work you do. Feasibly, teachers have the potential to earn up to $25/hour.

• ·          Estonia: Experts in English language teacher training are sought to teach undergraduate and graduate courses for up to 9 months at Narva College. Scholars may also participate in research on multiculturalism and multilingualism, which is a priority research area. Masters-level applicants with at least five years of teaching experience at the tertiary level may apply.
  
  
  
• ·          Taiwan: Based at a major university in Taipei, scholars interested in this award will have the opportunity to conduct research and assist in the development of resource material development, testing and evaluation and program design and implementation. Many TEFL specializations are welcome, particularly those with a focus on elementary/middle school education and teacher training. Applicants must have a Ph.D./Ed.D. and a minimum of three years of teaching experience, or an M.A. and a minimum of five years of teaching experience.
  
  
  
• ·          Morocco: TEFL is a top priority in Morocco, which offers flexible grant lengths (three to 10 months) starting in September 2018. Three options are available: full-time research; full-time teaching; or a combination of teaching and research, often split semester by semester. Full-time Lecturer in TESOL

 

The Graduate School of Education at the University of Pennsylvania invites applications for a full-time lecturer position in our division of Educational Linguistics. The successful candidate will have an earned doctorate in applied linguistics or a related field with a clear specialization in TESOL. Ideal candidates will have a background in teaching both general educational linguistics as well as TESOL methods courses. In addition, the ideal candidate will also have experience working with international students studying in the United States. We expect the successful candidate to provide leadership in developing programming that meets the unique needs of our international student population.

We're hiring ESOL Tutors

Requirements:

• All ESOL tutor candidates must have at least 60 university credits

Essential Functions & Commitments

• Tutors will work with English Learners (ELs). They will be assigned a cooperating teacher/school designee at each location and will receive support and training from a Manager with the Office of Multilingual Curriculum, and Programs (OMCP)
  
• Tutors will be paid on an hourly basis, at the rate of $12 (minimum), no benefits. Tutors must commit to 6-25 hours/week on a consistent schedule for the duration of the placement, following the School District calendar.
